Attorney Brian Jackson wants to make a difference as Fry & Elder’s newest trial lawyer.
As an experienced trial attorney, Jackson brings multiple dynamic legal skills to Fry & Elder. Not only does he have experience practicing family law – a hallmark at Fry & Elder – Jackson also will focus much of his practice on criminal law.
“I consider myself to be a very skilled family law practitioner, but I also realize that Fry & Elder has a long history of being one of the best Tulsa family law firms,” Tulsa attorney Brian Jackson said. “I believe my skills will best be utilized in criminal law defense. As we all know, there are often times when family law and criminal law issues intersect.
Jackson cites protective orders as being one specific example where the two separate legal realms crisscross.
“I believe the one thing that sets every good attorney apart from an average or below one is the ability to actively listen to what each client has to say,” Brian Jackson said. “Not only is it imperative for them to trust me as their attorney, but it is often their story from which I decide the best course of action to take.”
Brian Jackson further distinguishes himself at Fry & Elder as being the firm’s first attorney since opening its doors in 1932 to have prosecutorial experience. He was a prosecutor for the City of Adair for a short stint.
“I think my experiences as a prosecutor enable me to encompass the bigger picture of criminal law that inevitably should help me represent my clients,” Brian Jackson said.
In addition to his time in Adair as a prosecutor, Jackson also served as a municipal judge for the City of Talalah for nearly four years.
Before entering law, Brian Jackson graduated with a B.A. in English from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania before attending and graduating from Oklahoma City University School of Law with a J.D. in 2014.
“I am thrilled about the opportunity to work at such a prestigious and well-known law firm,” Brian Jackson said. “Fry & Elder’s reputation speaks for itself. The culture is inviting, and you can tell it is a firm that really cares about its clients.”
