Tulsa trial lawyer Henry staying busy in 2016

Tulsa trial lawyer

M. Shane Henry

To say 2016 has been a busy year for M. Shane Henry would be an understatement. The highly-regarded Tulsa trial lawyer and partner at Fry & Elder has already co-authored an article with Fry & Elder’s Aaron D. Bundy that appeared in January’s Tulsa Lawyer Magazine titled “OBJECTION: Dealing With Speaking Objections In Trial.”

Henry followed that up by appearing as a guest blogger on Montana trial attorney Matt Dodd’s website. CLICK HERE to read Henry’s blog titled “Trial Lawyer Traits,” in which he discusses some of the common attributes and characteristics that good trial lawyers possess.

Matt has been a friend of the firm for a while, so we felt like we could do a little cross-promotion that would help each firm out,” Henry said. “I’m not too sure I ever thought I’d end up writing a blog, but I think the topic was one that was relevant to all trial attorneys, whether they focus on family law, criminal law, personal injury law or immigration law, there are certain traits that all good trial lawyers need to have to be successful.

A rich legacy

Fry & Elder’s roots date all the way back to 1932 when C. Lawrence Elder was trying and winning cases throughout Oklahoma courtrooms. Over the years, the Tulsa law firm has become more recognized for its excellence in Tulsa family law. Robert G “Hap” Fry Jr., is one of just 19 attorneys in the state of Oklahoma who is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Fry also was selected by Best Lawyers® as its Lawyer of the Year for Family Law in Tulsa for 2016.

Tulsa law firm expands its legal reach

While much of Fry & Elder’s practice continues to focus on high-conflict Tulsa divorce and child custody cases, the Tulsa law firm has grown to eight practicing attorneys who now practice immigration law, criminal law, personal injury law and probates, in addition to family law.

Tulsa trial lawyer accepts historical case

Henry, who is licensed to practice in both Oklahoma and Texas, became the first Fry & Elder attorney to take on a criminal defense case in which the death penalty will potentially be in play for the sentence.

I am actively doing criminal cases now,” Henry said. “It’s a part of law that I’ve always been interested in, and we’re getting a lot more criminal defense work now.
